Mr. Sausage is known for prime meats, imported products, and Italian favorites such as fresh mozzarella, fresh and dried sausage, and salami, all made on the premises. There are also for a variety of prepared foods. Sal describes his recipes as rustic and simple, using fresh ingredients with a southern Italian influence.

The Baldanza brothers – Sal, Alberto and Joe -- immigrated to the United States from Amantea, Calabria, Italy in the mid 1980s. They came only with a powerful work ethic and their love of their native Italian cuisine. After working in several Italian kitchens in the Huntington area, they bought out a little pork store in Hicksville called Mr. Sausage and re-located it in Huntington. Today, they have a legion of loyal customers and three stores here on Long Island.
